
On Saturday, March 23, a basketball tournament will take place in the State of Mexico and, on another note, various calls have been announced for the marches of March 8 in this state and in Mexico City.
In the State of Mexico, the College of Female Lawyers and Jurists has called for a peaceful march. Meanwhile, in Mexico City, the organization Amnesty International has made its call public for March 8, with a meeting point at the Glorieta de las Mujeres que Luchan at 3:30 PM.
On the other hand, a contingent has been organized in solidarity with Palestine, in response to the situation in Gaza Strip. A group self-identified as anti-colonialist, transfeminist, anti-imperialist, and anti-racist will meet at the corner of Reforma and Paris at 3:00 PM. This group especially invites women, the Muslim community, and Judaism in Mexico, as well as people with disabilities.
The collective 'Mujeres de Maíz Milpa Alta-Chicomecoatl' has also called for a march in the east of the city, departing from the Monument to Luz Jiménez at 1:00 PM on the same March 8. On the same date, the Contingenta Sorora invites meetings to create community, with the first gathering at Metro Guelatao at 2:00 PM.
Additionally, a workshop on sisterhood and safety measures for the march has been announced, taking place on Saturday, March 2, in the Alameda Central of Toluca at 12:00 PM. In the same vein, Equalita MX calls for a mobilization that will depart from Simón Bolivar Park at 1:30 PM, with slogans focused on labor precariousness, criminalization of abortion, menstrual poverty, feminicide violence, and the conflict in Palestine. The collective Violetas Soreciendo also meets from the east to join the actions on March 8.
